Purpose Of Role :-

The purpose of the Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer (Operations & Implementation) role is to support and maintain complex/multiple infrastructure components or locations:
Accountable for addressing customer requirements using the appropriate methods and effective
communication skills
Provides technical consulting at component/product/site level, using technical skills to identify innovative solutions.Have end-to-end understanding along with in-depth knowledge within a technical domain.
Accountable for implementation of repeat products and service with defined project/work package boundaries. Implemented in accordance with the change process.
Accountable to review code to identify code level issues. Provide a plan to fix the issue in the stipulated timeline as per the SLA and impact analysis of the code change on other components/functionalities.
Works with more senior roles and managers to plan long-term project/strategic work, collaborates with design team to challenge and review design documents

Key Responsibilities :

Provide 24*7 on call support cover as part of a rota
Diagnose and resolve complex incident escalated by more junior engineers.
Diagnose issues at code level to unearth and hidden code level issues.
Likely to be first of type errors, complex/multiple-component or require cross-team cross-skill working
Deal with very complex service requests, e.g. complex change notes requests
Perform complex root cause analysis
Provide stakeholder communications for major incidents, provide summary of technical updates to CSOC and Senior Management Team
Implement complex approved change using implementation notes provided
Quality-review and sign-off procedures, root cause analysis produced by less senior engineers
Implement complex automation and improvement opportunities e.g. new tool deployment, complex scripting/coding
May be operational owner of standard changes, procedures
Shared Responsibility for External Clients or Internal Stakeholder interface
Ensure operational procedures are maintained and followed as appropriate.
Repeat Processes (guided by precedence) And Contributes to methodology needs set by unit policies and procedures
Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures.

Qualifications :

B.E / B. Tech Education background with relevant years of Experience

Skills/Experience :

Experience as Java developer working with Spring & Hibernate.
Java / J2EE technologies (e.g. Core Java , JMS, JTA, JSP) RESTFul webservices (Spring-MVC or JAX-RS or Apache CXF)
Technologies : Java, J2EE, REST Webservices, Spring, Hibernate, JPA
Servers : JBoss, Tomcat, Opencloud Rhino, Amdocs jNETX
Developer Tools : SVN, JIRA
Protocol Knowledge : SS7 INAP CS1, SIP
Expert level experience on SIP protocol (RFC3261, RFC3264, RFC3550,etc)and all SIP related RFCs.
Expert level experience in understanding the Telecom OSS/BSS Solution
Expert level experience in analyzing/debugging complicated system-level issues and track it to closure with excellent problem solving skills is a must
Expertise in patch/build deployments, DB changes, Trial runs with in SLA with precisions.
Good Understanding of various voice technologies such as SIP, SS7, H.323, etc.
Expertise with audio/Video codecs – G7XX, T.38, etc.
A working knowledge of VoIP testing tools such as SIPP and network troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark is preferred.
Hands-on experience in providing L3 application/infrastructure level support to complex core telecom platforms.
Good understanding of OSI model and understanding of data link, network and transport layers.
Expertise in analysing call flows though the log dumps and/or monitoring tools.
Ability to work in complex environment and with multiple stakeholders
Understanding of switching and routing will be an added advantage.
Ability to monitor calls/provisioning traffic to isolate issues for quick resolution
Ability of handle DB’s- Ex: timesten, Postgress, SQL
Good to have prior experience on Opencloud Rhino SLEE
Expertise in Shell/Perl Scripting.
