Job Title : Technology Consultant

Description :

Within the Business Analysis & Forecasting team, the primary role of the Forecast Analyst - Technology Consultant is to work with Operations to develop weekly call and chat forecasts for Consumer PC business units. This includes translating shipment volumes, historical contact volumes into weekly operational plans. This role will also contribute towards ad hoc analysis, scenario planning and forecast model changes that optimize our contact centers.

Key Responsibilities :

Translate shipment and historical performance into operational forecasts at the queue / language level.
Forecasting and planning process management for NA Consumer PCs, ESupport, and Day of Week %.
Report weekly forecasting accuracy, track variations, recommend course corrections, document weekly changes and implement forecast adjustments as required.
Work with and under the direction the PC Capacity Planner on small to medium technical projects.
Provide technical leadership and design support, solving diverse and complex issues. Ensure project learnings and daily roles and responsibilities are documented and shared.
Build strong collaboration with team colleagues to deliver comprehensive forecasting solutions. Lead forecast reviews and c ommunicate effectively across Contact Center community, being viewed as adding value and improving the quality of work performed.

Education and Experience Required:

First level university degree in related area of study such as Statistics, Economics or Mathematics is preferred; advanced degree is a plus.
Typically 1-3 years of work experience in a planning function using predictive modeling, statistics, and forecasting expertise.

Knowledge and Skills Required:

Strong written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
Capable of conducting and leading meetings with assurance and confidence, using consulting skills including: questioning, listening, idea development, rapport, and influencing.
Excellent analytical and data modeling skills is imperative. Ability to apply technology to solve a business problem or operational change.
SAS, SQL and Advanced Excel skills, able to create complex formulas and programming. VBA, SAS macros, and database management skills strongly preferred.
Capacity to use and interpret complex data from large data sets and multiple sources.
Owns and produces process documentation; able to translate technical details into concise and easy-to-understand written form. Ability to present statements of work, processes and proposals to a non-technical community.
Demonstrated self-starter, capable of quickly building advanced business and functional knowledge.

Strong interpersonal skills

Works well in a team-oriented environment to deliver weekly forecasts, reports, documentation, ad hoc and special projects.
Demonstrated leadership attributes as both a process owner and consultant; sets challenging goals with a culture of accountability for team and individual performance.
Proficient in leading projects or significant process changes in a customer support or operations environment. He/she will able to discuss and translate business requirements and impact on contact volumes, clarify where appropriate, develop a high level design or plan, provide risk assessment, and ensure proactive engagement with customer throughout project lifecycle.
