BIETC is seeking an Engineer to support the Boeing-St. Louis, Missouri Airframe & Subsystems Support Equipment (SE) engineering design team. This design team is part of a higher level organization that is responsible and accountable for proposing, defining, developing, delivering, and supporting high quality, affordable SE on multiple programs. This equipment is designed for organizational, intermediate, and/or depot maintenance levels to fulfill our aerospace customer's needs and requirements. This team is responsible for a wide-range of airframe and subsystem support equipment, such as equipment handling, testing, repair, and air vehicle interface of many systems including: airframe/structure, hydraulics, flight controls, power systems, fuel, armament, environmental control systems, landing gear, and all other mechanical interfaces with the air vehicle.

Responsibilities:
-> Apply knowledge of engineering principles, airframe structures, subsystems, aircrew maintenance tasks, and manufacturing operations to design support equipment with emphasis on product value. c -> Evaluate existing engineering designs for improvements based on a standard checklist of items to investigate.
-> Incorporate engineering design changes into two-dimensional drawings and parts lists using the appropriate electronic software tools, such as WiseImage, Unigraphics NX and Teamcenter.
-> Route design changes for engineering review and comment, incorporate those comments, then send the drawings/documents through the release process.
-> Update Unigraphics 3-D solid models on occasion.
-> Provide general support for conference calls with the Boeing – St. Louis, Missouri Airframe & Subsystems Support Equipment (SE) engineering team.
-> Learn quickly in order to swiftly become more efficient and capable of independent function within the team.
-> Comply with all programmatic, legal, intellectual property, export, import, safety and ethical guidelines and regulations.

Skills required
Ability to research, organize, and document technical data for engineering designs for mechanical SE components and systems for adherence to company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
-> Capable of understanding general technical requirements and ensuring that the hardware being reviewed, developed, or revised meets or exceeds those requirements.
-> Some experience in and an excellent understanding of engineering design documentation, including two dimensional drawings, 3-D models, drafting, dimensions, tolerances, part callouts and parts lists (material callouts, fabrication notes, lower and higher assemblies, etc.).
-> Strong written and oral communication skills to effectively support, provide status to, and interact with people in distant locations
-> Good teamwork related skills including the ability to perform well in a multi-disciplined environment with frequent collaboration
-> Highly motivated, proactive, and efficient with both time and resources
-> Basic knowledge of strength of materials, Aerospace Materials, Fasteners, Corrosion and Protection Techniques

Qualifications
A bachelor of science degree in mechanical (preferred) or aerospace engineering
-> A minimum of two years of experience with engineering design/drawings
-> A basic understanding of mechanical fabrication methods, including machining, welding, processing, and assembly.
-> A basic understanding of GD&T and various fits.
