Description :

From quality and reliability, to safety and performance, their expertise is vital to the concept, design and certifications of a wide variety of commercial and military systems. Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) -India based in Bangalore, India is an integral part of BT&E and is engaged in supporting lab and flight test for various programs. Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) has an immediate opening for a Lead Engineer for Real-Time Software development. Selected candidate shall lead activities to develop, document and maintain architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems.
The selected candidate leads development of code and integration of complex software components into a fully functional software system. Develops software verification plans, test procedures and test environments, executing the test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.
The selected candidate provides technical leadership for software projects and leads software supplier management activities. Leads development, selection, tailoring and deployment of processes, tools and metrics. Plans, executes and documents software research and development projects. Serves as a subject matter expert for software domains, system-specific issues, processes and regulations. This position will also be responsible for coordinating and communicating regularly with experts in Boeing organizations around the world. The candidate shall provide periodic update on project progress, quality metrics, project summaries, and other related documents. Contribute to productivity improvement through use of Quality Management System and lean principles.
This positions supports initiatives of Boeing India organization related to engineering excellence, employee development, customer engagement etc.
This position will be located in the Boeing Engineering and Technology Center, Bangalore, India.

Skills required
• Extensive and specialized knowledge of real-time software architecture and design methodologies. Ability to synthesize real-time software architectures and designs that meet real-time requirements, characteristics and constraints.
• Expertise in general and real-time software development and testing tools, capability and usage. Real-time tool examples include cross compilers, target debuggers and test/performance instrumentation.
• Experience in real-time domain examples in areas of control systems, human interfaces and signal processing especially in hardware/software timing, sizing, bandwidth, optimization and synchronization for aircraft.
• Extensive knowledge of real-time target environments, including processor and network architectures, communication protocols, simulation frameworks and electrical interfaces.
• Candidate must be a self-starter with a positive attitude, high ethics, and a track record of working successfully under pressure in a time-constrained environment.
• Must be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams within Boeing and external partners.
• Develop and maintain relationships / partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and partners to develop collaborative plans and execute on projects.
• Proactively seek information and direction to successfully complete the statement of work.
• Must be flexible, with a high tolerance for organizational complexity and ability to work with team members across different cultures and time-zones

• Demonstrate strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Be fluent in written and spoken English, and have high degree of proficiency with MS Office tools to prepare comprehensive reports, presentations, proposals, and Statements of Work.
• Must have experience leading teams and have the ability to mentor and teach juniors and partners to accomplish project and departmental goals and objectives.

Qualifications
Bachelor or Master in Engineering (preferably in Electronics, Electrical, Instrumentation or equivalent discipline) with 8 to 10 years’ experience.
